For Students
Do any of these statements sound like you?
I don’t know where to start.
Guess what? I do. We will begin by talking about YOU. We will do a few personality assessments and have open conversations about who you, how you learn, and how you see the world.
I don’t know what I want.
Most of the students I work with have no idea what they are looking for in a college. I will break down your options and teach you ways to explore what’s out there.
I know what I want, but I don’t think I can get in.
I will be honest; rejection is part of this process. As your college counselor, I will support your dreams, but make sure you have realistic expectations (including a backup plan).
I don’t know what I want to do with the rest of my life.
Do people keep asking you what you want to major in? Annoying, isn’t it? I will teach you how to research majors and career fields. While you may not know what your future holds, you will know the steps you need to take to figure it out.
I have no idea how to how to put together a college application.
Developing an application strategy is one of the most critical aspects of the college process. We will identify your values and goals. We will create a comprehensive list of what you want colleges to know about you. We will then shape your application by brainstorming ideas for essays, describing your activities, and identifying the best people to write your recommendation letters.
I don’t know how to succeed in college.
You will thrive in your college application process and prepare for life in college- and beyond. We will talk about how to network, advocate for yourself, ask essential questions, face significant life transitions, and so much more!
